Rediscover yourself in the great outdoors
The Lakes is your one stop destination to rediscover yourself in the great outdoors. From a fun-filled kids club, team away days, adventures big and small with sustainability at the fore, plus exclusive access to our farmyard, arboretum, beehive, freshwater lakes and woodland trails.
We’re excited to launch our activities calendar for the summer holidays. In addition to Kids Club with Sharky and George from 12 July – 2 September and all our bookable outdoor activities we have a packed schedule of fun for all.
Highlights include workshops in Pottery, Graffiti, and Willow Craft. On the water there is Fishing and Pond Dipping with Angus, Kayak Racing, Stand Up Paddle and Learning to Sail. Not to mention visits from our friends at Gloucester Rugby and Teddy Tennis as well as our first Open Air Cinema.
There are countless ways to take to the water at The Lakes. Choose canoeing or kayaking and you’ll see the wildlife and unique Cotswold reed beds up close. A fun activity for children and adults, paddle boarding can be a great way of exercising as well as enjoying the surroundings. Float on the calm waters and enjoy your time in nature.
Teeming with trout, pike, perch, carp, tench, roach and bream, The Lakes has everything you need for a relaxing day’s fishing. At the Fishing Hut, you can arrange lessons or hire tackle, rods and other equipment. We can offer a wide range of fishing techniques including Fly, Lure, pole fishing and pond dipping for young children.
There’s little to rival the excitement of launching yourself into the abyss suspended on a single steel zipwire. We have a range of outdoor activities to turn any ordinary day into a thrilling one including bike hire, air rifles, trapeze, horse riding, dune buggies, paint balling, climbing and many more.
Try something new, keep the family entertained or get your team working better together during your a corporate retreat day. Our workshops are great for all the family and include woodworking, arts and crafts, raft building and even cocktail classes for the adults.
We have lots to do for our little Lakes’ explorers – with activities for children who are 4+ throughout the holidays. The Holiday Club gets very busy and so early booking is essential.
We will need a few details from you about your child so please complete a booking form and email it to our team when booking.
We are blessed in the Cotswolds to have some of the finest pubs, restaurants, artisanal markets, and farm shops in the country. There is a wealth of things to do beyond the estate itself and our Guest Services team can organise sports and pursuits both on and off the estate including ballooning bowling, and golf.
