Last weekend The Lakes by yoo offered a morning session at The Lynt Polo Club. The taster lessons  began at 10am on the Saturday morning and ran for 2 hours.

Lynt Polo Club, which was established in 2010, is one of only two in the country to have indoor and outdoor arenas, including grass pitches for the summer season.

They operate all year round and can guarantee polo regardless of the weather at the Wiltshire base just south of Lechlade in Inglesham.

Lynt is a members’ club and teaching centre with a wooden horse and ponies of varying standards available for lessons at the venue.

They hold regular group lessons for children and adults and run tournaments almost every summer weekend as well as once a month during the winter.

There is a strong emphasis on Lynt being an inclusive, relaxed, family orientated club, with fresh ideas and a modern twist, setting it apart from the traditional clubs.

New members, visiting players and spectators are always welcome. Originally a dairy farm, the club lies within an area of outstanding natural beauty, it has been very carefully developed to create one of the most practical polo yards with some of the best all weather facilities.

Lynt Polo Club is set among 350 acres of beautiful organic farmland which runs down to the River Cole.  Snake’s Head Fritillary, Cowslips, protected birds and other wildlife are in abundance.  During the summer spectators are encouraged to support the games and it is a perfect place to picnic, the winter viewing is equally good from the clubhouse.
