A new Herb Garden
A brand new Herb Garden is taking shape adjacent the Tennis Courts
Measuring approx 8m by 5m, we have so far sourced the following :
Rosemary, Hyssop, Winter Savory, Thyme, Lovage, Apple Mint, Angelica, Sweet Cicely, Sage, Lavender, Pineapple Sage, Oreganum, Lemon Balm, Pineapple Mint, Mace, Lemon-Scented Verbena, Fennel, Cardoon, Globe Artichoke, Bay.
We will also be planting annual frost-tender herbs such as Chives, Basil and Parsley in late spring.
Rare elm trees found at The Lakes by yoo in Lechlade
A RARE species of elm tree has been discovered on an island in the middle of a lake in Lechlade.
Four smooth-leaved elms were formally identified after months of patient research at The Lakes by yoo housing development.
Rugby legend enjoys break at The Lakes by yoo
England rugby legend Lawrence Dallaglio and his family were spotted in Gloucestershire enjoying a bit of R&R.
The family was staying at the luxury second home development The Lakes by yoo near Fairford.
Lawrence, who was the guest this week on Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, enjoyed a session riding and a bit of sailing while staying at the 650-acre development followed by an evening meal at The Swan, the award-winning pub at Southrop.
Lawrence, who was recently named celebrity fundraiser of the year in the UK, is busy with a host of charity events, including a cycle ride in the South of France in June and a joint celebrity golf event in Portugal with Ronan Keating with proceeds going towards the Dallaglio Foundation.
He is also supporting Cotswold Care Hospice’s Men’s Walk at Kingsholm on March 13.
